Launching Punjab’s first-of-its-kind Centre of Excellence in eye care by October 2023 — a 500-bed facility, set to become India’s largest standalone eye hospital with a built-up area of 173,000 sq. ft. This state-of-the-art centre will offer comprehensive specialty eye services, house 11 advanced operation theatres, and include dedicated wings for academics and research. With this addition, Aratrika Eye Care Foundation total annual surgical capacity will rise to 180,000 surgeries.

Aratrika’s “Football to Eyeball” empowers rural girls in Punjab with optometry training, offering jobs to fight blindness and earn more, aiming to train 1,500 by 2030.

Keep Learning at School

Aratrika’s school screening program aims to screen 500,000 rural children annually, providing 50,000 glasses and free eye surgeries to prevent childhood blindness and boost learning.
